Steps Forward

Yay! Ben is out of isolation and got the chance to go outside today for the first time in 1 1/2 week. For anyone who knows Ben, that's huge! He LOVES to be outside! He played in the courtyard of the hospital with Ty as he marched around mimicking everything Ty did...guess nothing changes!

(not the best quality video...but a chance to see Ben and Ty together)

And some prayer requests as we look forward...

1. Please pray the damage done to Ben's lungs would be minimized and improved through God's healing and his treatments.
2. The enzymes he just started taking would allow him to absorb the nutrients he needs.
3. Please pray the Lord Jesus would protect Ben from lung infection and sickness. There are certain bacterial infections that CF patients can get in their lungs that are harder to treat, so we pray against those as well.
4. Pray that the whole family will be able to adjust back to their normal routines when returning home from the hospital.

Lauren (my roommate and Ben's babysitter) and I spending time with Ben in the hospital.

Note: Anyone can comment on this blog...not just members. Please share how God has touched you so that Paul and Michelle may be encouraged as well. May God's name be praised!

Hello Ferguson Family,

Just wanted to let you know what an impact you are having on people. I continue to share your story with friends and family and they are amazed and blessed by your faith during this trial. Not many things can pull at our heart strings like a sick child and hearing about your faith and how you CHOOSE to rely on our Lord for EVERYTHING is such an encouragement to them and their trials. This verse came to me this morning. Eph 3:17-18 "And I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts as you trust in him...And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love really is." You are in our prayers. The Schmela Family

Thank you SO much for setting up this blog! There are so many people at WA that want to know how they can pray and help. This is really great! It's like we're in the room with Ben! :) How wonderful that Ben was able to play outside with his brothers! :)

We continue to lift you all up in prayer with confidence that the Lord will give you the strength you need for every step of this journey! And we're here when you're too weary to take the step yourself! :)

Love,
Shelly, Greg, Kevin & Jack Rose

Dear Ferguson Family,

Just wanted to send you a note to let you know that we are thinking about you. We, too have a child with CF. She is currently 18 months and doing well with her treatments. Remember that God will help you handle things you think you can't. I know that things will be hardest for mom when you return home--it's a big adjustment. Please feel free to contact us with anything! ericadean05@gmail.com
