Blessings!

Children's Memorial Hospital has been the best transition for Ben as Paul and Michelle already feel very confident with the CF staff. From the moment Ben walked in the door, they knew his name, were well prepared for his arrival, and have a set schedule to begin Ben's two week "tune-up" period. Today is especially a big day for little Ben. This morning he will be sedated to insert a PICC line in his arm. This will replace his IV and will be an easy access for his antibiotics and other medications. As Ben likes to say, "No more poke poke," which translates that he is terrified of getting stuck for labs or an IV since he has experienced this pain for maybe the tenth time. :( Also, today is a big day for Ben because they will do the official diagnosis of cystic fibrosis and determine the severity of his disease. Currently, the previous sweat chloride test (the test to diagnose CF) he was given at Central DuPage Hospital was a screening test, so now he will officially be announced as a CF patient or not. Since all his symptoms match up with this diagnosis, we are not expecting any different results, but we are also praying that God will perform a miracle in Ben's body and heal his sickness. God is the ultimate Doctor! So please keep Ben in your prayers. He is in for more than a two year old can handle, but God remains in control! Today we read Psalm 20 - May the Lord answer you when you are in distress; may the name of the God of Jacob protect you. May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed. Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. They are brought to their knees and fall, but we rise up and stand firm. O Lord, save the king! Answer us when we call!

This is the view from Ben's hospital window! ...and you don't see God's hand in Ben's situation?!

The Fergusons came to visit and have been a HUGE help!!

The whole family at Central DuPage Hospital. Ben is currently in isolation at Children's, so sadly he will not see his brothers for one week.

Some special visitors at the hospital!

Thank the Lord for what He has already done, is currently doing, and what is going to be done through Benjamin Ferguson!

Isaiah 40:31 But those who wait upon the Lord will renew their strength. They will mount up on wings as eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
Love,
Adam and Lori
